Meet Dr. Hino
Board-certified dermatologist Dr. Peter Hino is an award-winning provider with more than 35 years of experience in medicine. In 1989, he joined Dermatology Center of Dallas where he has been caring for adults and children ever since. Dr. Hino specializes in treating acne and cutaneous malignancies and performing anti-aging treatments. He is highly skilled in providing nonsurgical cosmetic solutions and administering BOTOX, JUVÉDERM, VOLUMA, and VOLBELLA. Dr. Hino is an excellent listener who takes the time to thoroughly discuss a patient's concerns before determining the best treatment for their goals. He is proud to maintain an excellent reputation throughout Dallas as a go-to dermatologist to treat many skin issues and cosmetic concerns, having been consistently listed among D Magazine's "Best Doctors" since 2001.
Education and Training
Dr. Hino grew up in a military family, having moved around the country many times during his life before his family eventually settled in Albuquerque, NM. He attended the University of New Mexico for his undergraduate degree, followed by medical school at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. After graduation, he completed his dermatology residency at the University of Oklahoma where he became chief resident during his last year of training.
Leadership and Recognition
Dr. Hino is a sought-after speaker and leader who stays active within the research community, working with cosmetic and pharmaceutical companies to assist in the development of innovative acne therapies, sun protection, and skin care products. His other notable roles include serving as the Chief of Dermatology for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas from 2001 – 2011. In addition, he has taught internal medicine residents at Presbyterian Hospital, as well as students and residents from a local university where he serves as a volunteer faculty member.
Personal Life
In his free time, Dr. Hino enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and a rambunctious dog. Some of his other favorite pastimes include yard work, traveling, and visiting East Texas.
